It all started when Lee Boone (now the owner of Low Drag Group) traveled to a training session

with several of his friends and his wife wanted to go to town afterwards. This left Lee with the

responsibility to stay with the truck to ensure the safety of his firearms. Lee formed HuntTac

Solutions and produced the first VMG (Vehicle Mounted Gunsafe) as result of this experience.

Not too long after Lee and several of his friends needed holsters but they could not find one to

meet their needs, so again Lee did his research and learned how to produce holsters to meet

their needs with Kydex. This continued and word spread. Orders for the custom-made holsters

                     continued to be received and Lee decided to direct the focus of his company to fulfilling the need for custom made holsters.

Fast forward to 2020 when the decision was made to leave the Executive Protection and Private

Security Contracting world and make holster and accessory production a full time priority. With

this change it only seemed right for a name change and Low Drag Tactical was chosen to

emphasis our goal to design and manufacture High Speed Low Drag gear for civilians and Law

Enforcement alike.
